January 25

Science 7: Students just completed their topic 1-2 quiz from unit 4. They will need to hand in their topic 1-2 note packages with their wrap-up questions from page 297 of the textbook.
Their Structures project will be due on February 1 and instructions can be found on google classroom. This project will be used as our midpoint assessment and will have a significant impact on their grade.

January 11, 2018

Science: Unit 3 has been completed and the exam have been reviewed. This week we have begun Unit 4 and are currently wrapping up topic 1. Students have also been given the required information for their structure project which will be due January 30. This project is their midpoint assessment and is worth 10% of their grade. It is important that they put some time and effort into the project. They will be given time to do the written portion of the assignment in class but building the structure will need to be completed at home.

December 15

Science 7:We completed topic 4-6 and wrote our quiz on those topics this week. Next week we will be finishing topic 7 and 8 which will complete the Heat and Temperature unit. We will be writing our unit test on Thursday December 21 

December 6

Science 7: We have currently finished topic 5 from the Heat and Temperature unit. We will be completing topic 6 on Friday. Students can expect a quiz on Monday for topics 4-6. My goal is to finish the unit before the Christmas break so the class can enjoy the break and start the new year with a new unit. 

November 24

Science: Students wrote their quiz on topics 1-3 to finish off the week. They will need to hand in their topic 1-3 note packages on Monday if they did not do it today. We will begin topic 4 on Monday.

November 21

Science: We are currently finishing up topic 3 from unit 3. We will be finished the section on Tuesday or Wednesday and students can expect a quiz on Wednesday this week.Their note packages, 'Putting Thermal Energy to Work' worksheet and their practice quiz will be collected at the time of their test.

November 10

Science: Students have finished topic 1 and are most of the way through topic 2 in unit 3, Heat and Temperature. Everything previously assigned has been marked and is on Power School.
